I am setting up appointments/interviews at different executive recruitment firms. I have an appointment with the Lucas Group next week. I want to avoid dealing with firms that require a fee for their ‘services’. Does anyone know if this firm charges fees? Also, if there are recommendations for executive recruitment firms I would appreciate any leads. My expertise is in the finance/commercial credit industry.
personally, i advise against working with search firms that require fees from candidates. call ahead and ask the receptionist if fees are charged to the client or candidate being placed.
please PM me where you live, as I have a former colleague that specializes in finance, accounting, etc–she is excellent but works in only one region of the country, as do I (for the most part). I may have other contacts for you as well.
Just sent you a PM. I live in Mesa, AZ. I’m looking for anything in the Phoenix metro area and would consider other areas as well. I’m open to contract work, travel, etc.
I also work in the Executive Recruitment industry but I specialize in the Aerospace Field. I am familiar with the Lucas Group as they are trying to recruit me away from my present employer (MRI). They do not charge candidates for their services as all fees are paid by the client company. Just remember one thing as we say in the business ( we find people for jobs and not jobs for people ) meaning they work for the client companies who pay the fees. If your background is not what they have active searches for right now don’t expect them to bend over backwards to help you find a job.
Let me know if you have any questions as to what you might expect.
