OT: Editing a cool bike shot

I’ve seen posts here about editing pictures with Photoshop so I thought I’d pick y’alls brains on this.

I really like this this picture of my son sprinting at a mountain bike race but it’s got that ugly background and piece of orange tape that got hung up on his helmet (it was marking a low branch but I guess he didn’t get low enough, LOL!).

Can the background be removed via Photoshop or some other editing program?

Since the photo-editing programs that I have will not take out the background, are there companies that can do that for you with Photoshop or another program?

Email me the shot and I’ll see what I can do. After all I kind of know where that bike came from.
Cheers,
Herbert

As always Herbert, very generous of you. I’ll email it to you this evening.

And yeah, you sorta know something about that bike… and it’s still got that ABG speed in the frame tubes!

Real easy to fix in photoshop. All you need to do is blur the background, and there are multiple ways to do that. Next just clone part of the helmet over the tape. Can use the healing brush, clone, change the color of tape to match helmet,…

You should get photoshop elements 3. It is more affordable than the full photoshop version (CS2).

If you are not in a rush, email me the original. PM me for my email address

.

That’s cool… I hadn’t even thought about doing anything creative like that.

Monk… that’s what it look like when I do it!
