After thinking about this, the two delinquent females who attempted to illegally transport baked confections under the cover of darkness to mask their crimes should, in fact, be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Here’s why. Two words: Martha Stewart. This despotic, heinous, wanton criminal got her start in innocent “homemaking”, including the manufacture and transport- in fact- promotion of baked confections. Stewart is the “Iced-T” of baked good trafficking, established a cookie cartel that, until busted by feds, had its evil tendrils in every corner of society, including K-Mart. Thankfully, the cookie kingpin is cooling her heels on ice, doing hard time and even being busted in prison, behind bars, for foraging the local prison grounds for ingredients for illegally produced muffins- while behind bars. I say, lock her up and throw away the key. The actions of these two teenagers is no doubt a “copy cat” crime and, if the investigation continued, I wouldn’t be surprised if authorities discovered the twisted writings and books of Stewart in the possesion of the delinquents. Authorities did these two girls a favor by nipping this in the bud early and busting them. Hopefully, this intervention incurred before they went to the harder stuff, like cake and pie. Eventually the poor girls would no doubt be reduced to selling themselves to support the cookie/cake/pie habit. Hopefully this will lead to a “boot-camp” type reformatory system where juvenille baked goods offenders can be housed and rehabilitated before they become Habitual homemakers.
For once, the justice system worked. I say, Hoorah! As for the girls, well, that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
