OT: Americans, please vote!

Regardless of your choice, or your location (swing state or not) please vote today. Exercise your democratic responsibility and share your views with the politicians. You get the government you choose - so go out and submit your choice!

bump.

You’ve got it - free food has got to be the best way to increase voter turnout!

I’ll vote tonight…

A co-worker went early, got in the booth…and saw they were incorrectly given (2) ballots. They only filled out one and gave some choice words for the election officials afterwards.

I figure this day is going to drag on for months…

Anybody see GroundHog Day?

I love voting - going to do it on the way home. I don’t understand the people that vote absentee all the time. I can understand if you are going to be out of town, but I really enjoy making the special trip to cast my vote.

I voted Oct 23 and there was no food!!! I’m going back to vote again so I can get a free snack.

And don’t forget to flush the Johns…

It took me over an hour to vote this morning (got there at 6:40). But, I’ll take this over the alternative.

Jeff

I assume everyone knows I mean it only took me a few minutes to vote, but an hour to stand in line to have this priveledge.

Thank you.

It amazes me that a country with such amazing imagination, inventiveness and technological superiority can make it so difficult to vote!

While our turn out is embarassing (~51% in last election), here in Canada, I can practically walk up to the polling station, vote and exit in 5 min, tops. Even if we increased turnout by 100%, it would still only take ~10-15min (depending on demographics of polling station - i.e. working types would all show up either before or after work…).

I sure hope that not too many people are turned off (or turned away) due to the lineups…

Don’t worry about me, I’ve already voted several times today!

I flirted with an election monitor, voted, flirted some more, had coffee and a donut, then went to work.

It was a full morning, no payoff though.
