Orthodics (1)

Question for all of you runners out there. Anyone have any experience with getting orthodics in the NYC/Central NJ area? Any recommendations on where/who to go to? Mrs. Slower than U has been told by a few different sources that she should go this route, but we are flying blind as to a good source for orthodics.

Thanks in advance

Not the cheapest way to go, but maybe the best, is on=line through www.drkiper.com. He supplies custom Silicone orthotics, does a good job of making things work. Disclaimer : I have no affiliation, other than being a cutomer. Good luck, whatever you do.

i had custom orthotics made to the tune of $500…TWICE. My sports doc suggested i get powerstep inserts ($24) instead and they have been great. just as good as my custom orthotics. that being said, my foot problem is a high arch. hope this helps.

I have had great success with orthotics. After suffering from Plantar Fasciitis for over 10 months I decided to see an ortho doc. He said orthotics were the way to go for me. i had donts but within a month all my lower leg pain is gone and I am running great!

I have FootMaxx orthotics and also have a high arch. I have already noticed a good bit of wear and tear but overall the product is very good. Insurance covered it 100%.

do you know you need custom? what are the problems? for most people/problems an over the counter orthotic is the best bet for a first try. Superfeet green are a good place to start…
