Hi Guys,

In Orlando from 29th March to 11th April. Arriving from Dubin Ireland to get good weather and visist the sites with the family.

However training for Ironman Germany and just have a few questions:

  1. Anywhere u can hire a bike

  2. Any good cycling routes - staying in Windsor Hills estate

  3. If I can get a bike - will try and do 2/3 rides when I am there. Going out early (6/7am)for 3/4 hrs. Anybody interested in joing me?

You are 20 minutes from Clermont FL which has the National USAT Training Center w track and outdoor swimming pool. Also search “Sommer Sports”. They have a lot of races in Clermont that wil show routes including “Great Floridian”. YMCA Natatorium is on International Drive for swimming.

Orlando covers a huge area, you might have to be more specific about the area you will be staying.

Derek - I work at the NTC and have an extra bike you can use. You will want to ride out here in Clermont as downtown Orlando does not have many good places to ride. E-mail me at tomziebart@aol.com

Many thanks again for the offer. Just got back.

had an incident with one of our kids so spent one day in Celebration Hospital and a couple in the peds depratment in South Florida Hospital off route 85. Therefore couldnt take you up on you offer although highly appreciated.

Also while on - can I just comment on the super hospital care given to my son while there.
