Just curious if there will be a follow up article after this weekend. I know I’m still exhausted so I get it if I’m just bugging too soon.
What a great weekend! The numbers sure weren’t what they were back in the day, but the weekend didn’t disappoint! I raced the sprint as I was nursing a bum ankle, so had plenty of time to checkout the expo area, and to watch the some of the longcourse and off road sprint. Even saw Dan start off the swim and bike off the off road sprint! A good friend doing his first trip (off road sprint) had a long conversation with Dan before the start, and was thoroughly impressed with Dan’s knowledge and history of the sport as well as just thought he was a great guy, so kudos to Dan! I thought the 5k/10k Saturday night was a good addition to the weekend as well. Just added to the fun and overall good vibes. A lot of people hanging out at the expo and awards as well. Hopefully 2026 will bring back more athletes, and we will get another 35 years of this great event!

With the disappearance of St. George there’s a decent chance it’ll have bigger numbers in 2026.
