SWEET! the new 08 bikes are looking cooler and cooler! Love the matt finish and tech graphics! New QR’s are super cool, new Trek’s are smokin hot, can’t wait to check out the new litespeed in person.

so this topic was actually brought up by someone who said he worked as a designer on the rt700 and airfoil for kestrel. unfortunately the original posting and accompanying pictures/evidence has been removed. but you can still read peoples reactions to his claims that orbea “copied” parts of his designs of the rt700 and airfoil.

I like the fork and headtube but the back end looks a little strange. I’d be interested in learning more about its aerodynamics.

I believe gerard said the more complex the shape the less aerodynamic it is so i’d be intrested to see if these changes actually helped the aeroness.

I posted about this a few days ago. I LOVE the bike’s looks. It’s sex on wheels to me with the carbon weave finish and silver graphics…

I have no idea if it’s more or less aero than the outgoing Ordu, but at least you’ll look good cruising into T2!

I think he mean “complex” to mean edges/corners/etc. Not that you didn’t mean otherwise, but that statement standalone is a bit of an overstatement.

I’d like to see wind tunnel tests with this vs. things like the Felt DA, P3C, etc and see what results.

Kinda dumb…

Why would a company put it’s 08 model up and not even have a link to the 2007… it’s not available for months, meanwhile all the retailers are screwed becasue they have to discount the 2007 stuff becasue EVERYONE is going to be asking for the “bike they saw on the site”

You are 100% right about discounting. I work at a shop part time and I told them about this and they could not believe it. I even bought the '07 model in March and now its not even the new model, WTF? I dont understand the reasoning except that maybe the '07 model was not doing as well as they had hoped since they came out with the ORA. Ill be honest, I would not have ordered the ORDU if I didnt get it discounted, The ORA has the exact same shape and is only 145 grams heavier.
