I have ridden both the Orca and the R3. My vote would go to the R3. The Orca was a great ride, but where the R3 really shines is when you are 2 hours into a ride and you hit some rough pavement, it just soaks the vibrations right up and you keep hammering along. It truely is an extraordinary design that delivers outstanding stiffness and comfort in the same bike. And with the R3 SL, you can easily build up a UCI illegal bike using almost a standard kit group.
