I’m trying to figure out what to order for worlds and I’m wishing I could see the back of the men’s one piece. The description says three rear pockets. Now I usually don’t mind swimming with a pocket or two on the back of the suit as long as they flatten out nicely and don’t drag any. Three sounds more like a cycling or long course specific design (as is stated in the product description) and I’m just wondering how tight those pockets are. No wetsuits and I really don’t want to wear my PITA Aquashift suit over the tri suit, plus I really dont’ know if the shift suit actually makes any difference… Having three flapping rear pockets probably won’t really make much of a difference either but it’s the principle, you can’t have flapping things in the swim.
So anyone know what the pockets are like on this suit? The two piece is an option but I already have an Orca Elite “man bra” and do not need or want another;) Comfy yes, flattering no.
I’m not sure if i have the exact suit, but i got one for the GB team long distance champs and was very happy with it. the pockets are small and sit completely flat, not like a cycle jersey at all. (see any pics of the GB team elites etc in the ITU races for an idea)
One warning, if you have big thighs, i found it a bit tight on the elastic, but there were a couple of variations available and i ended up with one that fitted very well.
I have used this suit from sprint, to half, to full, all last year. No issues with the pockets. They are tight and do not “flap”. The entire suit fits very tightly, in a good way. No issues under a wetsuit.
I just received my one piece for World’s and it has the three useless pockets in the back. Stupid design - each too small to put something useful like a water bottle in the pocket, so you’re stuck with three gel flask holders which is overkill.
Anyway, I haven’t tried it on in the pool or anything to tell you if the pockets fill up and drag. But the flaps seem to be cut pretty tight and probably should be okay. (Not that’s going to keep me from thinking about pulling out the wife’s sewing kit and looking to making some modifications to the two side pockets…)
BTW, I got charged $10 for ground shipping in a padded envelope. What a rip-off.
But it’ll be a non-wetsuit swim if water temp is measured by ITU standards so mini pockets are all you’d want. I definetely may be cutting mine off depending on what they look like but that’s probably being too anal and they most likely make no difference whatsoever. Guess I’d better order mine this week.
Thanks everyone for all the info! See you guys (and gals) in Honolulu!

I agree Tai, in some sports and circumstances those Man Bra, Bros, & Manziers are highly recommended but I’d rather go sans shirt. Kramer must have design tested with triathletes.
Yes, the Age Group Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii will be an ITU race and therefore will follow ITU rules, not USAT.
ITU forbids the use of wetsuits above 22 degrees celsius, which is about 71.60 degrees fahrenheit. They are mandatory for temperatures below 14 degrees celsius, which is 57.2 degrees fahrenheit.
if you are on the nat team you should have recieved an email with the link and password, PM me and I’ll send it too you if you missed out on it. Basically it’s anything in the Orca Race line with USA logoing, the navy blue, light blue and grey, nothing special but looks pretty nice.
