Like the frame so much I converted to tri set-up. Profile forward post & longer stem put me right where I sit as on my tri bike which comes out 2.5 pds heavier than this one. A little different with the steering feel but I won’t be doing criteriums on this. Its 16 pds as pictured. (saddle not yet adjusted in picture)
Sweet build… saw a post a couple months ago of someone else that converted an Orca from road to tri… Always wondered what mine would look like as a tri-bike…
And here, I thought I was the only person w/ StrongLight cranks on an Orca

The Orca has beautiful lines and the paint scheme compliments the tube shapes well. I just noticed with this conversion, leaning the bike to turn, the front tends to steer itself unlike a tru tri bike that has less action from the front wheel. I guess its the slack angle of the head at 69.3 against a tri head angle of about 72.5.
In my small size 48 frame, the water bottle boss on the down tube is positioned a bit high. Having a large bottle there is difficult to pull out.
Otherwise, im happy with the whole build.

I was worried before buying them with all the broken pulsion pics I saw on the net. But I had already ordered them so no choice.
They are holding up so far…and look good. Just follow the max torque instructions when installing.
Honestly, I couldn’t tell if it is stiff or soft, but it has no flex at all. Along with the FSA’s and Zipp crank, they all feel the same to me.
I weighed it and total is 745grms, with the standard bb. There is a ti bb option but didn’t go with that.
Yes, mine is strictly in a road set up, although for IMUSA, I had clip-ons installed along w/ a behind-the-seat bottle-launcher. I opted for this set up rather than my LiteSpeed (Saber) since I had done almost all my training this year on the road bike…
I’m thrilled w/ the Orca - handles great, corners great and very responsive… Haven’t had any issues w/ the Strong-Lights either - had them installed w/ I had the Ergometer installed… hated to take off the D/A crankset, but it wasn’t compatable…
I don’t have any pic’s of it lately, but I just finished somehwhat “Euro-pimping” it out… I put on white handlebar tape as well as a white Fizik Arione saddle…
