Dear all,
What’s the “optimal” indoor temperature for exercising?
Any scientific studies, websites, articles that says about it?
I need to decide wich temperature to use on the gym and would like to have the scientific evidence to back up my decision.
Thanks and regards, Marcos.
For riding the indoor trainer, I’d say about 50-55, which is the winter temperature inside my house. Now, for non-cardio activities, they will want it warmer. I think most people would complain if you set it below 65. I don’t have any scientific data though. Maybe take a survey at your gym…
Please see the triathlon OCD article in the LR.
Foot fungus doesn’t live below 45 degrees so make sure you maintain the temp above this.

I say the hotter the better. Its cold enough outside. I want to simulate Hawaii or St. Croix heat and humidity when I train indoors
I’m on the no fan, no open windows program. If Desertdude beats me at Wildflower it won’t be because I caved in the 90 degree heat

And I thought my wife was an Eskimo with the thermostat.
The only reason I need heat is to keep the pipes from freezing.
