According to eco-terrorist freaks, we are feeling the effects of ‘Global Warming.” And it’s a serious fucking emergency to fix it. Global Warming is our fault. Somehow over the last 30 years, man-kind has managed to fuck up the climate in a way not seen over the previous 4.5 billion years. Nothing like this has ever happened before according to people who were not around 4.5 billion years ago, but I digress….
How can we agree on the correct temperature for the planet? Since Al Gore and his followers are trying to convince us that we are causing global warming…….with no consideration for natural phenomenon……if we are the cause, we are also the cure. If Al and his followers can so precisely identify the causes of global warming, I don’t think it is unreasonable for Al Gore to set the thermostat for us. After all, if we caused it, we can fix it.
Therefore, with respect for the “science” and “knowledge” that represents the leading edge of global warming gayness, what is the correct temperature for planet earth? If we don’t defer authority to Al Gore to set the thermostat, could we vote on it ourselves? Or, would we accept what Al tells us and behave accordingly?
I, The Great Mojozenmaster, never desiring to complain about a problem without offering a solution, have determined that the correct temperature for all Human Beings to exist happily on Gods great green Earth is 73.7 degrees.

I am pretty sure we need to get the temperature back to where it was at the earliest known time we have been able to reliably sample.
The recent DNA finds from Greenland show that the area was obviously much warmer than thought, maybe about 10 degrees warmer than now, since Greenland was actually green at the sample site about 500,000 years ago and now it is covered in 1.2 miles of ice.
We probably need to fire up Hummer production to get things back to the way they were.
68 degrees fahrenheit would suit me just fine. Low 50’s at night, even better.
I like the warmer weather personally. I also could do with a fairly short winter. I’m still trying to figure out why I continue to live in Michigan. Work and family I suppose.
That is really only a small part of the problem, Ken. We are not talking about long periods of time here in geologic terms. We are talking about a huge temperature change over a geologically short period of time. It is not like Greenland was closer to the equator during the relevant times.
More importantly it shows that the temperature chart you posted in the other thread I resurrected showing the temperature of the Earth over time is likely completely and totally wrong. Whatever data was used to generate it can’t explain these findings. If your fundamental data is now in question, don’t your conclusions based on that date need to be questioned as well?
If you can’t get close on the value of the variable, in this case temperature, it is a good bet you are completely clueless on the first derivative as well.
If there is one thing I am more certain of than statements of certainty about the distant past likely being proven wrong, it is that predictions of the future will almost certainly be wrong.

Second, who says that there is no consideration for natural phenomenon? Everything I’ve ever read about global warming…save from the right wing freak shows…address natural cycles of warming and cooling. I just want to know where you’re coming from so I can alter my thoughts and memories. I’m trying to build up that skill as we move closer and closer to Orwellian society.
