Ontario Airport Crit Report (@JM3's request)

What fun!

Is the data telling me 18.061 miles, average speed 24.4, average watts, average cadence 85, and 255 watts?

You can come on our Saturday ride if you are willing to double the distance. Things pick up a bit on Sunday, though. But give it a try, you may surprise yourself.

Wow! What a fiasco! Sounds like there was plenty of blame to go around…but it got a little long-winded, so tell me again, who was pedaling your bike?

no crashing - awesome!

keep it up, you will be a CAT 4 by then end of the season

next year a 3 easy (and hey, we need 3’s for our '06 team, by the way … hint)

You make big power.

Great report and congrats. Keep us posted on your progress, as for some reason, I enjoy cycling RRs more than tri RRs.

In good fun Joe. I do love the details.

Very cool! I’ll admit to being the one who said don’t worry about escapes at the lower cats - my bad, but the group should have pulled back 25 seconds no problem. Still, that’s a great ride for your first crit! So, two races and you have a 1st, a 4th (both times dropping the field), and a prime. Time for Dan to make that call he promised, you’re too strong to be riding 4/5’s. Better to get your experience in the 3’s where the riding is smoother and a little more tactical.

Great ride!

I thought there was a rule about wearing shirts with sleeves.

Just sent you a pm. Great ride.

"…well…and a DNF but we don’t have to talk about that Thanks again for the advice/help the past couple days. "

when I move to my new bigger place, later this fall, you will have to come down for a weekend and do some TT training at Fiesta Island with me

I will be right near the course

it takes practice you know! normally your first time trial is not the freaking state championships!

Oh, if only the 3’s were smoother, or more tactical, or even less sketchy.
