How does everyone else pay for race fees, equipment purchases, etc? I have one credit card and that is pretty much all I use it for. In the last year it has been compromised twice by something called skype.com. Both times it was overseas charges (I’m in the U.S.). What are alternatives for race fees and such?

I just went through a $4000+ compromise about a month ago and that got me investigating some alternatives. Here is what I came up with and so far I am extremely pleased. If you have a paypal account you can get a plug in for IE that will let you generate single use cards for online transactions. It even auto fills in all the fields like billing and shipping address as well as the card number. Since its a single use number their is nothing to be compromised . If anyone got a hold of that number it wouldnt do anything. It really one of the best features I have seen in a long time and why im a big fan of paypal now.

yeah its totally free. I was actually quite skeptical before I did it. Expected their to be some hidden fees or something like that but so far so good. I have used it for amazon and active.com and they have both gone through without a hitch. Its totally worth a look and from the geeky side of me I love the way it shows you its generating a random card number. Its just cool!
