One-piece trisuit, or seperate top/bottom

for the Florida 1/2 Iron? temps might be in the low 90’s

The one piece suits are great, but I have always felt that the two piece sets offer more flexibility for adding/subtracting other layers to deal with changes in weather and also when nature calls.

…plus it depends on how you breathe. I like as little obstruction around my stomach as possible so I wear a 2 piece.

I agree with fleck and another issue for me is onepiece doesn’t hold mr wiggly and friends in place and they are opposed to being sat on.

I only wear a one piece on the shorter races as I always have to ‘go’ during the longer races. Plus the time it takes to throw on a top isn’t long when you consider you’re out there at least 3.5 hours (in my case much longer than that).

John

wear a thong! reduces tan lines.

For the longer, hot events it is nice to have a seperate top and bottom. For the short stuff a one piece rules.

It was interesting to hear comments about pressure on the stomach…

I wear a 1-piece for Ironman precisely to avoid having a waistband (which I feel puts pressure on my stomach).

In addition, I keep cooler wearing a 1-piece (and a running hat) by dumping ice into my suit…It ends up settling near my kidneys and the cold water drains further down my suit ensuring I don’t overheat.

I’ve been using the Garneau 1-piece (Sublimated with my Team Colors) for the past 14 months and we’ve just ordered them again. They are thin enough that I actually get “waffle” tan lines on my back/legs from the Garneau material pattern.

It worked at Kona and CdA so I’m confident it would work well in Florida as well.

I’d go two piece. If you get really warm you could always remove the top.

Does anyone use your back for checkers? chess?
