shimano had the electronic DA set up for demo-ing on a felt AR frame. in some circles, a “hot” frame indeed.
in that hall, however, around that calibre of frames and bikes of that level of artisanship/craftsmanship, they may have well as had the stuff set up on a reebok spin bike.

i am not sure what they were doing there either. but, i hadn’t seen the stuff before so it was OK by me. and anyway my eyeballs needed a rest.
another oddity was derosa. derosa ?? i guess there are some people you just don’t say no to.
but, the ( very few ) looks that cheap-ass molded felt got were priceless.
