Anyone see the guy carrying his bike over his shoulder (Cervelo I recall) to T2? What was the story? How long had he been carrying it for? What was wrong? Did he finish ok?
I’m not sure if it’s the same guy, but someone’s tire blew right in front of where my family was standing in town. He tried to fix it, but it was taking too long. Something was wrong with his chain too, I think. The crowd finally convinced him to walk it in. They were standing on the road in front of the swim start, so he had about a quarter mile walk, if it was the same guy.
I saw a guy jogging and carrying a bike on his shoulder on lake placid club drive when I was finishing. No clue what kind of bike. He was talking to the crowd and said that he was looking forward to being able to run in shoes. Hope that he made it.
