I’m too stupid to figure this out on my own. How in the world do you post pictures? Please, someone explain it to me. Please use small words and short sentences.
I use a Mac with the latest version of Safari, if it matters.

j-son,
It took me forever to figure it out! These directions won’t be complicated, because I’m not technically capable of that!
Get your settings right. First, click on edit profile above at the top of the forum next to the Slowtwitch logo, then display settings, and then select advanced editor. You now how the proper settings to post pictures (I think).
Next, when writing a post, click on the image icon above. It is the second from the right that looks like little mountains. There you will enter the internet address of where the picture is. The photo must be on the internet somewhere - why I don’t know, but you can’t just post one from your hard drive.
Lastly, and this is the trick that took me forever to figure out, you copy and paste the photo from whatever web page to the box thing that comes up after you do step two. The link alone or the cut and pasted photo alone won’t do it. This last step took me about a year to figure out, so you have plenty of time!
Good luck!
Yeah Open an Image hosting page / free account ,which I think you have and like David posted click on the picture framed mountain to copy the site / title of the photo. I screw up and have double http:// at line start, as the " insert image -web page" slot already has a http:// laid out at the beginning.

You haven’t be doing anything wrong, it’s Safari. For whatever reason, you can’t post a pic on ST using Safari.
Don’t know if the ST problem is a Safari or a ST issue.
Do you know where to go for these free accounts/hosting pages ?
Sorry, I’m computer illiterate, Ironguide knows this already, he put me with a link to a computer and a question mark when doing his ST map.
www.tinypic.com www.snapfish.com I think tinypic is easier and you don’t have to register.
This is a test using IE.

I use this , http://photobucket.com/ , But just do a google search under Image hosting / photo pages , pick the one you like.
It will let you select a photo off your computer, that you have stored, some have a limit on space and size of photos 250K per PIC. Or they down size automatically. It takes a bit of monkeying with ,once you get it ,no big deal.

Just a test
.
Hinds, where did you get that picture? I’ve heard about it. The only real soldiers behind Bush are the four right behind him. All the others were put in with Photoshop.
I wasn’t thinking about the picture, just wanted to test out putting up a pic so I clicked drudgereport.com and right clicked the first pic that came up. Right click the pic and it gives you the url.
Edit. That’s an AP pic from today, no photoshop as the AP folks are not big bush fans.

“Best practices” in web development would dictate that whenever a user can’t get the best experience (not to mention a unified one) available for the client software s/he is using, there’s a problem with the design.
In other words, it’s ST. Installing the latest (beta: 3.0 rc1) version of HTMLAREA could fix this, and it’s free. I haven’t seen the back end of this forum program, but generally it takes less than an hour to set up. I don’t know who that request would get passed to, but if y’all know, please let that person know that I’d be happy to offer some guidance.
guess I won’t be posting photos, then, as I don’t use any MS products. Damn, I wanted to play along with the ‘day in the life of…’ game.

You got the info right , just didn’t copy -paste it to the "insert image -web page Dialoge " after clicking on the picture frame to the right of the two A A on the upper tool bar.

Test
You mean ,This
Where the hell are the freakin’ mountains???
When your logged in click , reply , just to the right of the two A A on the tool bar. ( picture frame )
I have safari on my mac, and I haven’t updated my explorer past 5.2 so I don’t get any mountains. I was hoping that copying the HTML might actually work, which of course it doesn’t. I guess I wont paste any pictures for now.
