One day recovery

Ok, Last time, I had a question about a 4 hr recovery between races. This time, I’ve a night to sleep.

Doing 3-mile high school race at 10am on saturday, then doing my first olympic distance tri in Bonelli the next morning.

Any pointers on stuff to do?

I was planning to do a 1 mile run pm just to loosen up a bit and possibly swim for like 5.

And should I eat something heavy, or just stick with carbs.

And maybe pointer for first swim too.

if i were to swim i would do it saturday morning with a pull buoy
wear compression socks and shorts after your race
simple carbs IMMEDIATELY following your 3mi race

a swim isn’t a bad idea if, like most people, you don’t swim near enough

and sorry for trying to get the best results for the $120 entree fee. TOO EXPENSIVE. +18 and no job.

To the OP - sounds good except rather than run 1 mile in the evening, bike instead for 10-20 minutes. Swim for the same amt if you have time. If you pick one I would choose swimming over running.
