But i still get a stupid kick out of the Honda one with buddy in the F1 car…his facial expressions are funny
.
The Honda one is my favourite as well…I can’t help laughing every time I see it.
“Born from Jets…” – So innovative. So fresh. Everytime I see it it’s like the first time all over again.
Bridgestone no-flat tire – That guy is about the best actor I’ve ever seen…And, he’s so manly …And, I’ve never seen such cool computer graphics like that before. Just wow! How does he stop time like that to pick up the road debris?
There’s something about the chick in the Subaru Tri Beca ad that turns me on. She’s not my type at all, I prefer curvy women with long dark hair rather than her short blonde hair and skinny body, but there’s just something about her…
The Saab ads just have to go…how long has GM owned the carmaking part of Saab?
The Bridgestone ad was cool the first 20 or so times I saw it during stage one, since then it has been really grating on me.
I like the caveman ads, but they need some new ones and to mix in some of the older ones, rather than just playing the latest one over and over.
The caveman ads are being made into a TV show of some sort now.
I like the Shark Week ads. They always make me hungry. Mmmmm…that’s some good sailor.
“Sono Paolo Bettini.”
(I am)
“Questo e’ mi bicicletta!”
(This is my bicycle.)
I thought I was again back in Italia, riding those small village and country roads.

It also has a touch of “Breaking Away”. This makes it sweet for those of us who have only cycled in the states, drafting off Cinzano trucks.
Off topic: The Breaking Away trailer is online: http://movies2.nytimes.com/movie/7009/Breaking-Away/trailers.
And it’s showing in Palo Alto! Humbug to those of you who think there are better training locales!
The music in the Bridgestone run-flat ad totally weirds me out. Was there a sale on rights to slightly spooky computer-generated music from the 1970s while they were producing it? Every time that wacky music comes on I start thinking I’m watching “Future Shock”.
We will be headed back to Italia in June of next year. All of the Italian riding and culture you could wish for. Come ride with us. The climbs of Il Pirata await.
No drafting off Cinzano trucks necessary.
I hate to admit for the first time I’ve not watched a single stage all the way through… just too busy… but the kids watch it and tell me when good stuff happens and I’ll sit and watch for a while. So… I haven’t seen all the ads, but I’m with you on the SRAM one… and the Specialized Bettini one.
