By modern Olympics tradition, during the parade of nations, Greece marches into the stadium first being the nation where the games were originated, then the host country marches in last. This year Greece is the host country, so will they march in first or last or mix it up somehow?
Hmmm, maybe they will march in first, run around the stadium, then come back in last again… ![]()
Seriously, interesting question.
One thing for sure, with a great Tour de France followed immediately by the Olympics we are going to be very spoiled with some truly great television this summer.
Based on the time schedule the Greeks have been following in prep for these games they will end up being an hour and a half late and miss the entire parade.
Tom,
Indeed - it’s been a great summer of TV sports already, with the Euro Cup soccer, now the Tour and later the Olympic Games. THEN, we get a week off and the World Cup of Hockey starts. Could be the last hockey for a while with the strike looming, so I will be getting my fix for a while.
My TV rarely get’s used, but when these big events are on, it’s on!
