Coming up in a few weeks will be my first olymp. dist. race. With a HRM at this dist is it smart to even wear one, or would the transition time loss be unjustified. There will be no wetsuit for me so i cant shov it under that. Any Ideas?
If the HRM is your only reliable reality and ego control device then I say go for it. If you’re pretty descent with perceived exertion then ditch it and save the 10-15 seconds and hassle of putting it on.
I’ve stopped wearing mine for Sprint and Oly races (Which is 95% of my races) and I don’t think it has detracted from my performances.
