I’ll second that.
Whoever said it before about the “rules” is correct – the International Federation of Beach volleyball (the FIVB) has regulations that uniforms be of a certain size. It makes the women wear small bikinis and it even says the men’s shorts can’t be too long… it’s all done in the name of better popularity.
And whoever wants to see the Norwegian team needs to check out Brazil – aye Pop-pee!!

Norwegian Women’s Volleyball!!! Yes!!! I watched them play the Swiss women this morning (out here in HI), and lordy…

I sure don’t have a problem with what the female beach volleyball players wear. But my wife complains that if the women show that much skin then so should the men.
Do you really think anybody would bother watching women’s beach volleyball if they did wear what the men do?
Who bothers watching the men’s game any ways?

I happen to love women’s beach volleyball. The outfits are great - the play is great - the outfits are great - very athletic sport - the outfits are great - great tactics involved – and did I mention that the outfits are great???
TV is great - but in person - beach volleyball is even better.

I read a few years ago while the Canadian women volleyball players were complaining about it being too brief, the Brazilian women thought that the two inch madatory thickness was too large.
It all balanced out in the end.

I was watching a tape of the late match last night for McPeak/Young and saw that between sets, they have cheerleaders. These girls come out and dance and cheer, but the thing is, even though they’re scantily clad, they’re wearing more than the athletes. I didn’t know they had cheerleaders for the Olympics.

Them Brazillian women have to train through intense heat, and need to wear less in order to stay cool. I’m down with that.
