Olympic 2 weeks before 1/2im?

I am already signed up to do an olympic race on 8/28 that turns out is now 2 weeks before the 1/2im I want to do. Would it be reasonable to include that race as part of my training for the week (that is supposed to be the peak week in the training plan I am on so I would need to do a fair bit more than just the olympic for the week) and wouldn’t be able to taper for the olympic at all. My goal for the 1/2 im is just to finish. The taper for the 1/2 im would then be the following 2 weeks.

You should be fine - I guess it depends upon how you recover, but even at , say 45, you should be fine for the 1/2

Doing the OD is actually a good idea in order to prepare for the 1/2 IM. You can do the week of the OD easy, a slighter harder week afterwards and then a taper week for the 1/2.
