Hey everyone this should be a quick question but my LBS was having trouble answering it.
I have Bontrager SSR wheels (from a 2011 SC 7.0 so SRAM apex currently) - just bought 11 speed ultegra stuff, need an 11 speed hub. We’re having trouble figuring out if we can change the hub out on the wheels, and if so what part I need to order. If not I need a new wheel right?
Wish I had better news for you…the SSR was built around a proprietary Bontrager hub platform, which isn’t compatible with any 11spd freehub conversion kit from Shimano. FWIW, the 11speed conversion compatibility chart can be found by any Trek dealer on the Trek Tech intranet site via the “wheel reference” link.
