I was at the tri shop this morning leading a computrainer class (74.5 degrees inside), and at 5:45am Bob stops by the shop to warm his hands real quick in the middle of his run (-7 degree windchill outside). He had iceacles hanging off his eyelashes. I was freezing my balls off, just going out to start the car.
This serves as an example of what it takes to be a Hawaii course record holder.

This morning it was -11/-12F here in Ottawa… A little bit too cold for a run this morning for me.
I will wait for lunch time: -2F, now that is warm!

wow, now that’s a HTFU! moment.
I couldn’t do those times now, and I’m 26!
But I think it has more to do with me being lazy…if I could just HTFU like Bob, I’d be all set!
It was -9 windchill this morning when I stepped outside. I’ll be running on the treadmill this AM and hopefully going outside this afternoon, the weatherman is predicting a balmy 19 degrees for a high.
The stairs were not kind to me yesterday- 5-6 miles today at lunch- facemask and all!
