This police response (like they have nothing better to do with their time during a major WX emergency?) reminds me too much of the line of thinking of requiring triathletes to get qualification swim tests.
If you’re crazy enough to swim during a hurricane or to race in a triathlon, it should be “enter at your own risk.”
No, you got it wrong. Bodhi was a big profile fugitive and that is why the FBI wanted to catch him pretty badly. That’s the reason why the police was out even during a hurricane.
Funny that you mention this story because I was almost ticketed for swimming in a state park where there was no swimming allowed, unbeknown to me. Cop seemed really pissed off when I told him that I was training for a triathlon and replied with “what, do you think you’re training for the olympics or something?”
Oh and it didnt help that I was swimming in boxers.
Wasnt me; I was guarding for the Kennebunk Tri on Sunday morning. We got in, and got out in front of the wind…not much rain. A good morning to get some of those blueberry pancakes after a workout.
Thank you, thank you. I think this is the most complete hijacking of a thread in a long time. I am glad to see it’s turned into a Point Break appreciation thread.
Public Service Announcement: Point Break comes on VS in 5 minutes, 9pm eastern!
I’m resurrecting this thread just to say that it made me watch Point Break, for the first time. Great movie!
Have you ever seen Point Break? No.
Amazing group of surfers. - Don’t tell me.
Patrick Swayze’s just robbed this bank. Keanu Reeves’s chasing him through people’s gardens.
And he wants to shoot Swayze, but he can’t 'cause he loves him so much.
And he’s fireing his gun up in the air and goes like Ahhhhh.
have you ever fired your gun up in the air and gone Aaahhhh?
No. I have not ever fired my gun up in the air and gone Aaahhhh.
Sorry. I just feel like i am missing out sometimes.
I want to do what you do. - You do do what I do.
What on earth do you think you’re missing out?
