I still think of that thing as a “gay” vehicle - no offense meant. It is a great bike/triathlon vehicle for sure, but … in CA you are what you drive, unfortunately. Pony up the extra dough for something else (say a stripped X3 2.5 which is about the same size, utility).
Lots of pros do, why not. Cheating - no, but you pretty much have to be single to go this route
No -
why anyone would want to drive a box is beyond me.
and, he knows what i have to say about red meat. but, i refuse to continue nagging. lol.
He should move to Europe first, cause here there are no such things as a gay this and a gay that.
Then again, in Europe buying an SUV is less and less well seen for environmental reasons, so he would end up with a Smart car.
The Honda Element is a great triathlete vehicle, my dad has one and it rocks.
No, it’s not cheating any more than training smarter.
I talk to my ex-wife allmost daily, but now I can hang up on her without any repercusions.
Red meat taste great, just balance it out with the other meats, fish, chicken, pork. That’s 4 of the 7 dinners during the week. Add a pasta night, a pizza and a dinner out and you’re set for the week.

following SAC’s question of whether the ST forum should be consulted prior to major decisions:
Fugly car. Get someting more economical on gas. Anything VW rocks. imo
Nope not cheating. If you can afford it, why not.
Depends on whether there is the possibility of post breakup sex. I always go by, you broke up for a reason, time to move on.
NO WAY! There is nothing better than a steak on a Sunday night. I find I feel better when I eat red meat instead of trying to get my iron and what not other ways.

What happened to the Mr. Macho truck?
Gas prices?
What you see here is a new feature on this year’s smart cars to be able to park in even more confined spaces !
Element = good. Gas mileage is not great. But there is not better bike transporter.
You may not like sleeping in one, but I don’t think it’s cheating
I think it is “normal,” but it is not the norm…
Why do people always need to be so absolute? Like “no carbs.” Why NO red meat? What is wrong with 3 times in a month? Unless you are making some sort of statement, just eat it when you feel like it. I don’t see the need to totally give up anything.
"What happened to the Mr. Macho truck? "
I spent $60 this weekend in gas to get to a race and back, in SoCal, in my truck
I want a SUV that gets 24+ mpg, so the Element or Escape Hybrid are options I was looking at
I hate red meat for no other reason than I can’t stand the taste. I have bad memories of a child, chewing and chewing and then gagging! ICK!! I eat red meat maybe three times a year!!!
well the additional money you would spend on a hybrid will not translate to saving money on gas…plus if your truck is paid off, why get another car payment? again–that’s not saving money if your truck is already paid off.
I said personalities…
I got an Elements about a weeek ago. So far, I love it.

No way it makes you weird but sure makes life a degree less enjoyable.
The Toyota FJ is an alternative to the Element. Will arrive in early 06, priced between RAV and 4Runner. Built on the 4Runner platform, 6cyl/245hp, boy’s car.
I made this mistake a few months ago, had a '99 4-Runner, 90k miles and no car payments. I went and bought a BMW wagon and traded in the 4-Runner. I now have car payments and FULL TIME school starting in January! Yeah, I wasn’t to bright with that decision.
1: Honda Element? It is as “aero” as a refrigerator. Moving the seat forward will not help.
2: it may be cheating but as long as its legal, it is hard for anyone to crtitcize, although some still will.
3: ex-- depends on the length of the relationship. if you were married or lived together, it is normal, if we are talking six months, let it go.
4: Give up chicken. That is a seriously nasty animal. Worse than a catfish. Plus all the chemicals they feed them. GROSS! Just don’t eat too much red meat. It has way more protein and iron than anyone needs.
Another note about red meat: when I was in high school, before I gave up both smoking and red meat, I always noticed that I wanted to smoke more after eating red meat. What’s up with that?
oh man…that’s the seduction of a new car. my husband says it’s like sex–you get in the new car, drive it and before you know it you feel euphoric and you’re signing on the dotted line. Then you wake two weeks later with a sizeable car payment. lol. dang it.
