OH the Pain.... Is there a Dr in the house

Ok, So 2 days ago I triumphantly talk about my 30 mile ride to Dearborn. Avg 15 Mph, did not work to much, and was very happy. Got off the bike and felt fine.

Yesterday road 5 miles with the family everything ok. Wanted to get another 10 miles in so I Go out and figure I’ll try to hammer it. Want at a good pace and felt tired but ok afterward.

Today, a bit sore on the left side groin but no biggy, and top of the left knee, kind of bottom of thigh. Walk to the Parade with the family stiff but no biggy. Come back and sit at the computer for a half hour to an hour, leg kind of straight slightly bent knee. Stand up OHHHHHHHHHH the groin is fine, but the top of knee is KILLING ME. can barely do stairs seems like bending and lifting leg is very painfull, took 800mg Ibprofin, some help not much.

Now several hours later, it still hurts. Sat with knee folded and it did not hurt as bad when I got up and walked. I have had knee problems in the past but this is totally different not under the knee cap but more top of the knee bottom of thigh. SO What is it?

I will keep the knee bent tonight assuming that is streching it and put ice on it.

No bike rides today and its great weather. Bummer, I really did not think I pushed that hard. Have been triing to make sure I do not get hurt. AAARRRRGGHH

For starters, I would poke around the quads, calves, and hamstrings trying to find any spots sore to the touch. They may not be sore while the muscle is working, but if you have any knots in there they will be sore to the touch. If so, take your thumb, tennis ball, or anything else that has a rounded surface and work the knots out lengthwise. It should be painful if you are getting down in there. I have felt immediate knee pain relief after doing this. I’m no doc so take the advise for what it is. Good luck.
