Know what you mean…I was out today in 102-103 heat index. All I could do to average 20mph for about 25 miles. The heat and humidity was killing me.

Omaha, you can’t beat it. In six months it will be zero with a wind chill of -15.
61F right now. If I were riding instead of sitting here at work I’d need arm warmers. Overnight low was in the high 50s, but the fog made it feel colder. Sucks.

It’s 87 in Corvallis, OR today. I commuted on my bike this morning in a tank top and tri shorts. Yeah! Before the noontime swim, I laid out in the sun for 10 minutes.
A few months ago I had to wear amfib tights and a rain jacket to commute. I love this weather!
Man, I sure don’t miss that. Today it is mid-80’s in San Diego, but there is a nice breeze in off the water is you are near the shore.
One day, you too will be done with that degree and move out of that furnace/freezer of a state. I’m sure that they do math at UCSD. 
BTW, congrats on you race in Effingham. I saw the posts on the FIT groups page. I guess that new P3C and set of Zipps worked out!

“heat index”!?! Don’t be such a wuss. Heat index and wind chill are just devices the weatherman uses to sensationalize his report. When the temperature REALLY hits 106 degrees then you can commence to whining. Back when I was a kid it was still snowing when it was 96 degrees out I’m tellin’ ya.

Hot at noon out in Rancho Santa Margarita. Went for a four mile run, anyway. Around 2:00, started feeling weak. Drank lot’s of water and got myself a PayDay bar. I never eat candy bars, but in a half-hour, the PayDay sparked me up enough to finish my job.
When my folks were still together ,we had a summer home in Mendocino.
I remember how odd it was that it never got warm there during the summers.That fog got old real quick too.
By the way, is Tommy’s still open in SF?
I think its either on Van Ness or McCallister,across from the movieplex sorta near the Ferrari dealership.
I used to like that place for lunch.
My heart goes out to everyone. It’s been a mild 115 out here in Vegas. I know, I know, “it’s a dry heat.” Overnight LOW was 95 degrees last night. This means that in the past two days IT HAS NOT GOTTEN BELOW 95 FREAKING DEGREES!!!

Not sure. I’ve been there once, a few years back. I usually go out in my neighborhood, North Beach or the French Alley.

I’m down in Gilroy and we haven’t been as lucky. Last week the temps were in the high 90’s, low 100’s for most of my rides/runs. Hopefully the 1/2 vineman won’t be that hot. If it is you’ll probably see me plodding along on the couse waving a white flag.
