I just saw this the other day. Pretty sweet. A custom bike for a 1K stage. Probably will never be ridden again.

I think I’m going to vommit.
You don’t like it?

It has a Mavic Cosmic carbone. Demerly said yesterday that these are not good enough as race wheels. Too heavy he claims.
I tried a pair of these on my S-Works. They are great. The bike Ogrady has is ugly. Tooo many bold colours and that extra fairing behind the seatpost looks unclean.
The article said O’Grady would use a Mavic IO front wheel, but the Carbone is in the picture. I think the bike is pretty neat looking. Yeah, it’s loud and a little too bright. But I still iike it. I like those aerobars, too. Don’t know how comfortable they are, but they look cool.

I agree.
I think these are the coolest aero bars I have ever seen. Personally, I will find those arm pads to far forward. But I am sure it is the correct fit for him.
Notice the re-painted Easton fork.
I find it hard to believe that down-tube is actually as deep as the rules will allow.
I’m sorry, but that’s just a fugly built bike.
Here’s the scoop on those bars:
ITM Nivola Carbon
400 mm wide
875 grams
Designed for internal cable routing
Not available in US, but available in Europe for around $850 US.
They don’t look too adjustable at all. It looks like only two possible adjustments: flip the armrests forward (as in O’Grady’s set-up, which is why it looks so far forward. The normal set up puts the armrests on top of the pursuit bar) or switch the armrests to move them out/in. Since it is an integrated, one-piece set-up, it looks like the only way to shorten the aero bars would be to get a shorter stem…
I suppose if I was really rich and they happened to fit me out of the box, I might take a look at them. They do look sweet though.
If you think that bike looks bad, don’t look at Cipo’s skinsuit from the prologue. What a way to retire!
Single speed! I love it!
The dude is superhuman on a fixed gear. In the Olympic Madison, he pretty much strung the feild out single file for the last 40 laps and won the Gold. He was riding around a 92, and even some of the top trackies used to the high speed were up around 94-95. Insane.
The bike is really cool and with Stu’s pursuit prowess I wouldn’t be suprised if this bike were used again.

I would love to have that bike. TT on a fixie is so fun it should be against the rules. I wonder if Stewey is second guessing his front wheel. 2 seconds out of 1st. There were plenty of front discs and deepdish wheels out there. At that speed I would think you would pull out all the tricks.
With his skills I don’t think the side wind would have bothered him.
