She’s young. Can’t work out why she doesn’t stick to ITU instead of mixing in long course. Maybe she could improve her ITU if she did. She has some pretty decent results.
Because she probably got a six-figure salary out of it.
No chance it’s a 6 figure salary. (not even close)…BUT being a fully funded program it will essentially be a 6 figure salary as she will have basically zero expenses. Every training facility, every training detail, and more importantly every travel trip she does is paid for.
It truly is an amazing opportunity she has…she’s literally getting a blank check.

We’ll just disagree then, she’s gonna be on a good salary. You can’t say in one hand she won’t be on close to a six figure salary but then say it will be like it and then say she’s getting a blank check.
There’s no way she’s doing this for under 100k, unless he sponsors are somehow doing what Gwen’s sponsors did for Gwen.
And that’s fine to agree. I just know a little more than you most of the time on the inner workings of usat politics, regardless of your “rugby” experience.
And again as I said, the salary is almost pointless when you are being fully funded. Again basically her entire life now is “free” with her coaching lifestyle. Every expense in the sport is being paid for by USAT. (Again I’m not saying she’s not on a good salary, I just don’t think it’s 6 figures from day ). If you think she is cool. I’ve seen both her job posting and the last HP coach posting this past fall.
So it really doesn’t matter if it’s $82k or $104k (or whatever the exact salary is) in that fact that she’s also part of a fully funded program. Like everything she does is now covered by USAT. Travel and lane rental fees alone will probaly be close to $70k in the upcoming year if she’s traveling to as many races as she’s needs/required too. She’s likely going to travel to at min 12 itu races this year likely. So it’s not just the salary it’s the fact that she doesn’t have to spend 1 dollar of that salary on anything she needs…It’s an absolutely wonderful position she is in.
