Office Chair for Low Back Pain?

A number of years ago, my ego got me into trouble when I tried to lift something way too heavy and I herniated my L4/L5 disc. Ever since then I’ve had chronic low back pain, with flareups from time to time.

Does anyone have experience with and/or a recommendation for an office chair to help with such a thing?

Thanks.

The chair isn’t the issue. The chair would be a passive temporary fix.

Its a bit counterintuitive but disc herniations, especially ones from “years ago” arent really an issue. Its the resultant complications associated with the initial injury.

My guess is you’d feel a lot better (and be better prepared for things that come) if you addressed the hip and lumbar spine issues that are almost certainly there.

A new chair to address mechanical low back pain is like putting ice on your bruise. Its hit or miss and doesnt actually help heal anything.

Where are you located? I can point you in the direction of someone who can help. PM me if youd like.
