just a personal opinion but I think the misquoting in threads brought forward needs to be fixed first.
Many older threads have quotes attributed to a user than he/she didn’t write but rather responded to.

Would it be possible to rehost the archive somewhere in readonly mode… At least for a while? The last forum of mine that did this type of transition did that.

There’s probably other work-arounds, we’re just not thinking of them
For instance, I was able to dig up the T3 thread through The Wayback Machine; as old as it is, there’s no sense adding to it, but it would (maybe) be beneficial to pull the archive.org link into Post #1 for a thread titled “Training For An Ironman After A Breakup? (T3)” then lock it, so people can read that “historical document” anyway
