Holy cow! This woman is soooo out of touch it’s not even funny. I am watching her interview on Dateline right now.
She is on food stamps and was raising her kids on her student loans. And she thinks she will finish her master’s degree and pay back her loans. Please, with 14 kids and if she gets a job what income will be left over to pay back those loans? And who’s paying the hospital bill for the babies? the poor residents of california.
I hope CPS steps in and takes the kids away.
Plus, her own mother has come out and said she should never have had them and is sick of having to take care of #1-6.

ummm, what about the doctor that implanted the 8 embryos? shouldn’t there be some safeguard when it comes to fertility treatments? When you adopt they grill you left right and centre, but they wouldn’t check anything when you get IVF? it doesn’t make sense.
I agree but there are no limits on embryos they can implant. The doc was probably greedy and figured he’d take the money and thought most of the embryos would fail. Serious ethical issues in this case.
Plus the 8babies have a high risk for cerebral palsy and other developmental issues that will put more strain on California’s health care system. I can only hope these kids get put into loving homes where they can be looked after properly. How much attention can a kid get competing with 13 other siblings and one mother.
But NBC and ABC found ways to pay for her interviews. One report says she was paid $300K from NBC itself. She raking in some cash right now.

Did she actually have the IVF procedure done or was she just on fertility drugs? I thought it was just the drugs alone that did this.
If it was IVF, then the doctor should have his license taken away. That is very irresponsible.
It was IVF. They now know who the doc was. They put back 6 and 2 split . My wife is an REI (infertility doc), and apparently this particular doc (in Beverly Hills I think) has horrible numbers and does all sorts of stuff that is against “standard” protocol. That said, there are guidelines, but not rules. For instance on a 40yr old with a bad prognosis, the max that you would put back is 4. Since this woman had 6 kids (and is not 40) you would put back a max of 3. They were discussing this at grand rounds this week, and everyone is livid about it, but nobody could come up with cause for licence revocation.
Looking at it online…looks like she had already found money for plastic surgery…
This story is revolting. My wife and I have unsuccessfully tried for a few years to have just 1 child. This unemployed piece of trash somehow gets IVF treatments after already having 6?!? There’s no law in this country limiting the number of kids you can have, but this is still just unbelievably disgusting. I really feel for those kids, not sure she’d going to be able to provide a very high quality of life for them.
The docs that participated in this fiasco should pony up for all the bills for the rest of these kids’ lives.
I’m sure I’ll go to hell for this, but I said something similar *** *** to my wife when her pic came out.
