What are you all running at Oceanside this weekend?
there are lots of threads on this…but FWIW, I’m running 53x39, 12-26.
I’ve ran a 12/25 in the past and used every bit of gear. Good luck.
Very dependant on the riders ability. I run a 11-23 without problems and do the same at Auburn. A friend of mine runs a 50/34 and 12/27. He rides slower though.
I’m riding a 53/39 with 11/26 rear. I love that cassette. It is so versatile.

Same for me. SRAM Red, right?
I would expect Jack Bauer to ride a 56/11 fixie, with a freshly pressed shirt all day ![]()
I’ll be 53/39 and 12/27.

When Jack comes to a hill the hill flattens out and immediately begins to descend.
50x34 front, 11-28 sram rear.
Im fast on bike, but i climb sitting down- so i love that ultra-spinny combo for that one big hill.
Gotta have the x11 though in case the first 25 miles are downwind.
50/34, 12/27. I’m an average cyclist, so I need the extra low gears.
I am riding a 54-39 x 11-23

I actually have the 11/26 in SRAM Red and Force. The Force is brand new and it’s currently on the race wheels. It feels so good and shifts so crisp that I’m tempted to just leave it on, rather than putting the Red on it…

Fixed 77 front with an 11 in the rear if I’m feeling good.
But if that doesn’t work, I may change to my 53/39 front with 12/25 rear. ![]()
53/39 and 12/25…cant see why anyone would think they need 11 but to each their own…
50/34 and 12/25. I would go with a 26 or 27 if I had it.
I’m old and slow.
For the past 3 years theres one guy brave enough to use his single speed.
53/39…12/25
