Today’s market move is due to a lack of commentary by Team Obama, which has in turn caused a sudden and sharp expansion of the profit and earning ratio for securities generally.
That would be a PE ratio for short.

Over the weekend I heard some “analyst” say that what is good for Wall St. is good for the country. Perhaps he really wanted us to go the way of Bear Stearns. Then again he could have been smoking crack.

I did miss that…and you’re right. Backing merit based pay for teachers, supporting competition in the form of charter schools, and doing *anything *to piss off the teachers union would definitely help the market! Credit where it’s due!
