Oakley Hyrdrophobic Lens Kit?

Has anyone yet tried this kit from Oakley that allows you to add their hydrophobic coating to any lenses? How well does it work? I am thinking I might try it with some M frame lenses to see how well it works. I am in two minds about the Radars. I have a pair and I like them a lot, but a little voice in my head tells me I still like my pro M frames better. Plus, I have a huge collection of M frame lenses and to replicate even some of that, getting the lenses I really like, would put me in the poor house!

Thanks.

Sounds really interesting. I might give it a try. $30 ain’t bad if it works.

I applied it to a new set of Half Jacket lenses about a week or so ago. So far, the lenses stay cleaner overall, and I haven’t had any issues yet. Applying the stuff was pretty straightforward, it’s a two step process. There is enough stuff to do 3 lenses and occasional touchups to your treated lenses. I’ll be putting it on my M-Frame lenses as soon as I replace the one I use for races and report on how they do.

You must have done something different than I did. I applied the kit to my half-jackets last week so I wouldn’t have to worry about them in my race this past weekend… not 2 minutes into wearing them they were coated by water another race threw over his shoulder and that was it. Didn’t act anything like the “real” lenses in the Flakjacket or Radars. Did the same thing they always do…streak and smear. I’m a huge Oakley fan, and this is the first product of theirs that has disappointed me…

I just went through the instructions provided carefully before doing the application.
Coke is beading right off my lenses as we speak, so it definitely worked. I don’t have the balls to try the sharpie test

I have some cheapie knockoffs with plastic lenses. I was going to put about 3 coats of rain-x on them. That should do the same thing.
