NYC Shops to find IM Bathing Suit

Can anyone recommend a store to buy bathing suits for IM training? Just looking for something simple, i.e. Speedos. Likely will need a couple so less expensive places the better! I live in NYC near Columbus Circle (UWS). Thanks!!

Any suit with 50% polyester / 50% PBT will last forever. I use Speedo Endurance.

swimoutlet.com (or any brick and morter store that sells swim wear should have these)

You’ll get bored of the color before it wears out.

The women on our masters squad usually buy from Allamericanswim.com.

Is this a joke

Jenny,

You seem new to Tris and if you want some serious guidance (for free) feel free to send me a Private Message. I live in the City and been doing Tris for >20 years. Any question is fair.

Some women I know get suits from Swimmers Choice, somewhere around Long Island. You can buy online from them, too. I like SwimOutlet.com for cheap suits and Splish for when I want good or custom designs.

Thank you Nick, PAX, Jason & CAT - this was very helpful. I bought 2 suits off swimoutlet today thanks to your advice. Hopefully will work out. Thx again.

Swimoutlet is a good source for swim stuff. If the sizing is off you can always exchange. They are really good about that. Sporti swim accessories are also very good. We all use sporti goggles in our house and love them.

. Here’s what I would do.

  1. take the wheel reflectors off your bike.

  2. don’t call a swim suit a bathing suit.

  3. use the term “cycling” instead of “biking” whenever possible.
