Last night at our holiday party I was perusing the menu and decided to order the 10 oz. NY Strip steak.
I ate it and It was amaze-nuts.
I’m a vegetarian.
God bless us. Everyone!

Welcome to the dark side. I love steak. Any kind. Thank goodness the vegetarians aren’t adding to the demand for it, because it costs enough as it is.

Don’t let price stop you. There are plenty of good cuts that are cheep and can be really delicious.
NY strip is my favorite cut of steak. It’s quite tender but beefy in flavour versus the more buttery tenderloin. T-bones/striploin/sirloin really the only cuts I’ll grill/panfry. Everything else needs to rotisseried, baked, smoked, or braised.
My Dad dropped our yearling-beefer off at that meat processor yesterday, looking forward to freezer full of grass fed beef. Most looking forward to the tongue, heart, and liver… all the stuff you cant easily buy in stores. I actually turned my sister-in-law into a meatatarian when my wife and I first started dating 10 years ago “Oh it’s fine, I met this cow… I called her beefy because she had really fat legs.”
