Hey guys I just got a new saddle, Fizik Aliante switching out an Arione. The Arione caused saddle sores that would never heal, so I decided to try something new. I used the fit guide on the Fizik website, and based on where I usually put my center of gravity, the Aliante was the best looking fit. The first few ridew were great, and the saddle sore problem is gone, but now I notice I get numbness and tingling really bad in my hands after about 40 or so. I know that groin pressure or incorrect saddle position can lead to this. Any thoughts?
I installed the new saddle by measuring nose to stem cap on the old saddle and installing the new one in the same spot.
Where on your hands is the numbness? There is a bundle of nerves on the outside of your palm and if you ride putting pressure there, you will get numbness in your pinky and maybe ring finger.
If sitting on your ass caused discomfort in your hands, the internet would have died years ago. Look at the pressure points on your hands first. The new saddle may have you located slightly fore or aft of your previous position.

Bottom part of palms and will start to creep into my fingers after a while.

It’s important to mention which fingers. Thumb, index, and middle and 1/2 of your ring finger is your median nerve and can represent a problem in your carpal tunnel. Your pinky and 1/2 of your ring finger are you ulnar nerve, and can be a problem at Guyon’s cannal, which is on the outside part of the palm. The radial nerve would have less of an impact on your symptoms. If it’s your entire hand and bilateral, it’s more likely coming from your neck, as that is where the nerve roots exit. If you’re not having symptoms at rest, and they only appear after 40 mile of riding, it would make sense that your position is causing this.

I’m pretty sure it has to do with my position, I don’t have problems at all when not riding, and symptoms only start after riding a while.
