I have to assume he did. Otherwise, his blistering criticism of those Republicans who “jumped to conclusions” regarding the Cain situation would be downright hypocritical. And we all know Rush is no hypocrite.

Limbaugh, who has been an extremely staunch Cain defender, was referring to Republicans who, according to Limbaugh, “piled on Herman Cain when nobody knew the facts” about the sexual harassment allegations filed against the GOP candidate in the 1990s.

There still are no “facts” out there, which is disturbuing, and the woman who was to “come out” on Friday, changed her mind, saying “there’s nothing to gain”…at least that’s what she is anonymously quoted as saying.

I see someone is playing naive tonight. The only fact that covers is the fact that money was paid for an accusation. It doesn’t make the unknown accusation and more or less true. The fact is it was still an accusation and nothing more. It happens every day thanks to our severely lop sided system.

Hey I think it looks bad, but I'm troubled by the fact that there have been no specifics about the bahavior, and all of the women are choosing to stay anonymous. The most recent one has stated the most damning behavior; that Cain invited her up to his suite, but we don't have any settlement with her AND she wants to remain anonymous. bad, bad, precedent if we keep lowering the bar to where pretty much any anonymous accusation can end a pol's career.
BTW, I know a guy who was with Obama and the guy that accused Obama of doing drugs and having gay sex, not going to give a name, because that's the road he chose/chooses to take, but, well, I'm just saying.
Actually, I don’t think it looks all that bad, as far as sexual harassment claims go. From what little I’ve read, the incidents occurred in very public places, so how bad could it really have been, relatively speaking.
But it’s never a good thing to have on one’s record.
What facts and details do you want? It was severe enough for the woman, and it was severe enough for the employer to settle out of court.
It’s like saying that you want details on a felony because you can’t decide if the felony is severe enough or the right type of felony.

If someone here in the LR makes an accusation against a GOP, they need numerous hard facts, a news report from a Conservative paper (as judged by the GOP follower), eye witnesses accounts from people who have never lied, cheated or in any way cast doubt on their Conservative upbringing and finally verbal and signed confession from the perpetrator who in no way was under the most remote hint of duress.
If a Republican makes an accusation against a Dem, speculation and innuendo will do just fine.
