Holy moly!
What a joke.
oh my…
.
A joke is right. After seeing that pic, I know that I’ll never bother to go to a 70.3 race where it is flat. I wonder how many of them were excited about the automatic pb, that such riding would deliver?
WOW…WOW…
Now I see why Monty stayed home.
They look staggered to me… ![]()
There is always other fun Half events around the country. ![]()

Isn’t that a motorcycle about half-way back in the picture?
Oh, that’s right… Head-on shots don’t really show the distance between riders. Yeah. That’s it…
Ok, they’re drafting. But also, why the hell are som many guys on their aerobars in that kind of a peloton? That is just plain stupidity. Someone (Cathy maybe?) mentioned that there were 14 people crashing out of the race. Perhaps riding the aerobars in a peloton has something to do with it?
thats true, but the shadows on the ground say something.
one of the guys in the front is wearing my tri clubs jersey, i am not sure who it is though.
I see the jersey too…at least he’s at the front of the pack!!!
In a related story, Cervelo has just announced that their popular “Soloist” model will now be called the “70.3”. It is a dual purpose bike that is good for triathlons and road races, sometimes at the same time…
its funny you said that, i just posted it on my tri clubs site and said ‘at least he is at the front of the peleton’
.
Of course, the angle of the picture makes them appear closer than they actually are, right? Maybe the camera just HAPPENED to catch a few folks passing simultaneously at just the right time.
What? It could happen!
Nicely attended group ride! Where was that?
Oh…
We’re in the same club. I just have been injured all year so haven’t been to any club workouts or anything.
oh, i know you. mark right?
It’s quite obvious that the dude in the white shirt and helmet need so positioning work. In the case that he is on this board, please tilt you base bars down a bit, slide your seat forward and drop a spacer. thank you
