A joke is right. After seeing that pic, I know that I’ll never bother to go to a 70.3 race where it is flat. I wonder how many of them were excited about the automatic pb, that such riding would deliver?

Ok, they’re drafting. But also, why the hell are som many guys on their aerobars in that kind of a peloton? That is just plain stupidity. Someone (Cathy maybe?) mentioned that there were 14 people crashing out of the race. Perhaps riding the aerobars in a peloton has something to do with it?

In a related story, Cervelo has just announced that their popular “Soloist” model will now be called the “70.3”. It is a dual purpose bike that is good for triathlons and road races, sometimes at the same time…
