Swam here in '04 when I was on a 3 week break from the crappy weather in the UK. Absolutely fantastic - bit of a shock when I got in to find it was salt water though! I mentioned it in ‘That Guy’s’ pool rant thread.
Only problem was, I burned to a crisp!
Ha, never really thought about this before but I suppose it makes sense that you lot swim ‘on the other side of the lane’ also (if I’m seeing things right). I would be an accident waiting to happen if I swam over there as we swim on the right not left. Funny.
If you are really coordinated, you swim in opposite circles in alternating lanes. That way, the swimmer in the next lane is always going in the same direction, and the possibility of painful hand smacking is lessened.
