Right, starts thursday, anticipation is building, now aside from Woods who is an obvious choice I think McIlroy is someone that has game and could well be a surprise, 19 years old and a strong contender for someone to challenge Woods, sickening thinking that he was 8 or 9 when Woods won his first Masters…
I know that Houston success usually doesn’t translate to the next week at Augusta, but Paul Casey’s game is really looking good right now too. A great ball striker who is killing it putting now too. Lowest putts per GIR on tour I think. Sergio still can’t putt. I don’t think he will ever win a major.
I like McIlroy a lot. Don’t forget Geoff Ogilvy though. He may have the hottest hand going these days.
Oglivy leads the PGA in putting too, which is key at Augusta.
I’m going with my homie Bubba.
If Tiger doesn’t win it I will be stunned.
I tend to agree though I think there are a number of players now that could prove a real challenge to woods…
I’d really like to see McIlroy do it, I agree that Sergio’s likely to join the montgomeries of this world and retire major less, that said though Phil took a long time to win his first so Sergio may still be in with a chance…
It’s Shooter’s turn. He’s paid his dues. That’s his jacket.
Not me. He might win, but I’d bet against it. He’s played decent golf since returning, no better. He won here in Orlando, but he really shouldn’t have. There are any number of players out there that are striking the ball more solidly right now. He should finish well enough, prob top 10, but I’d be surprised if he won. Having said that, he’s certainly capable of surprising me every time he steps up to the tee. ![]()
on a different note, I tell you what, In Claim that kid “Eric Hoksaojsaihasnoiajsapoinsa” is unbelievable, he charges the trees, drops the cliffs and just keeps trucking…
Anyway it will be a fun weekend…and I get to eat chocolate to…
