Been battling shooting pain down my right shoulder for about a month. Really bothers me at night and the early morning. Swimming actually doesn’t hurt, but holding aero or any stagnant position on the bike is uncomfortable and after runs longer than 3 miles or so it starts to throb.
PT/ART thought initially it was a pinched nerve in neck then perhaps shoulder tendonitis; however after over 4 weeks with no relief they seem to think its nerve entrapment of some sort and have recommended MD intervention to get it under control. I have an appt. with my sports MD next week, however the last two mornings I have had a numb/tingling nose (pins and needles) and some pressure/pain on the right side at the base of my neck (where neck meets trap). Seems like it could be related.
Anyone have a couch diagnosis or ideas? My appt. is not until 7/9 - should I get in to my primary care MD sooner?
