Because its unprofessional. If he had a kit he could be on his way by now or in a few minutes instead of dicking around waiting for support.

you can still carry a tubeā€¦ it takes a few seconds to remove the tubeless valve. at least youā€™re not sitting on the side of the road helpless

he could easily have popped in a TPU tube and kept going. And if you are concerned about where to carry it, the Cadex frame has internal tool storage.

On one hand, itā€™s super silly not to carry a tube if you have internal tool storage. On the other, Iā€™m sure he expected to be at the front of the race and itā€™s very rare when you have a big front pack that the neutral support vehicle isnā€™t right with them. Iā€™m amazed they couldnā€™t get him one sooner.
