Wow… that’s a lot of stuff!
what kind of saddle is that?
Slowman reviewed this new holder just a few days ago, I’m surprised to see the cartridges attached as well and the spare tire taped
.
Wouldnt he be better off carrying a box of tissues instead of a spare!
Nice setup. Very clean.

Sort of negates an “aero” seatpost, huh?
Truthfully I don’t get so hung up on all the aero nit-picking, because Normann, with his plain-ole Asian carbon frame, plain-looking fork, exposed cables and kitchen sink on his saddle/seatpost could out-ride everyone short of a pro-tour rider even without a Walser/P3/TTX-type frame, blackwell/oval-type aero fork, internal cables and clean, aero seatpost .
not that much stuff, but it is funny he has levers for his tubulars. Guess he didn’t like the stick approach he tried in 2005! I know Paul was trying to get him to do something else with the inflator and cartridges too.
Amen…

Not that much?! LOL, if you look at the pics on ASI you’ll see he has more crap hanging on his bike than anyone else in the top-ten… he even had a water bottle on his aerobars… what more could he add?
Selle Italia SLR T1…the tri version of the all-time classic SLR saddle

Wow… that’s a lot of stuff!
I think he just went for the: “NO RISK this year!”-approach!
And that even means to take levers just in case there is a little too much glue on the tire! Don’T forget the mental benefit of being sure to have everything you need just in case!
Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
Hey all, a quick question.
I’ve seen the CO2 cartridges and inflators attached to the bottle cage before, and it seems really clean and efficient. How is this attached? Is it a product made by Profile Design, or is there some way to attach the inflator to any bottle cage? Any info would be appreciated.
It looks like the xlab xnut that has two threaded holes for you to insert the cartridges and an external thread so you can attach the inflator. The new carrier must have a threaded hole like the xlab flatwing.
Excellent, I just googled the X-Lab X-Nut and found it. That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
The websites say it fits on any bottle cage, which is great. I have a Tacx frame/holder with Zipp bottle cages, hope it will be compatible.
Thanks again, Allan.
Wow, that saddle is jammed ALL the way forward.
What is his X-Nut attached to thouch? I used to have the Saddle Wing and it had a hole in the back to thread the X-Nut into, the Saddle Wing was too big and heavy for me though, I did like the X-Nut and would like to find another way to use it though.
He did have the Profile aero-drink, but he also didn’t have any bottle mounted on his frame, so aero drink and a bottle or two in the back isn’t that much compared to others. Against ST wisdom of putting bottles inside the main triangle to help aerodynamics though.
I believe with the Hydro Tail you just use the X-Nut with an appropriately sized nut…
Oh that’s right, I forgot the Hydro Tail has holes on the sides and on the rear. So basically it serves as a dual bottle mount and X-Lab Saddle Wing-type thing all in one piece, cool.
