CTS got another one. Don’t know who will be coaching him though
Rumor also has it that one T. Deboom is joining them too. But that’s still a rumor.
Curious if anyone trains him. Is this Normann paying to train or is this Normann being paid to endorse? Nothing wrong with it either way, but it strikes me more as an endorsement than anything.

These seems like a pretty savvy marketing move (or is it?). Get a handful of the best triathletes out there to sign on/endorse the brand and then the brand gets to take all the credit if they do well, if they don’t do well the brand can quietly exit.
Simon Whitfield also signed up with CTS very recently.
I believe they already have Craig Alexander

The article said he is to be coached by Lindsey Hyman - worked with her at Worlds Long Course last year and she is very experienced coach.

In a recent interview for a german mag he stated he is coached for the first time now since his father coached him a long time ago. It seems he is looking for alternatives to his previous training.
Me thinks a nice group is forming to surround Lance for his IM bid … Normann, Whitfield, Crowie, DeBoom; or, maybe a cycling team comprised of the greatest triathletes in the world in their “latter years.” Either way - or any way - BIG for CTS!
LOL. If you can become 2 time world champion with the coaching of someone who has no experience in the sport, then it makes it wonder; do you need a coach with experience?
Sorry, but this whole situation isn’t even believable…
It is hard to believe but I’ve researched and verified that her last name really is Hyman.
Wow, CTS must be shelling out the dough…
Will Napoleon be moving to Bolder to be closer to the CTS, I know he hinted at it when he was there for the bike fit

Agreed, but I doubt there will be any “quiet exit”. It looks like CTS is trying to get as many of the top pros in the sport as possible. That way they always have a back-up plan in case one of their athletes isn’t doing well.
If Crowie wins again, CTS gets to say they coached him. But if he doesn’t do well, they have Stadler. If he doesn’t do well, they have Deboom (potentially). Guaranteed, at least one of those guys will place pretty highly. And if CTS gets really lucky, they could even take a 1,2,3 sweep…
except there’s that pesky little detail that they don’t actually coach any of those guys.
Actually CTS has some very good coaches working for the company. Chris doesn’t personally coach any of these athletes, nor will he ever write programs for any of them.
Typically what happens (and this is what happened with Crowie) is that the athlete and the coach work together to come up with a program that the athlete is comfortable with. Obviously guys like deBoom and Stadler know how to train - however having a coach to look over numbers and make small suggestions could definately help them. Crowie didn’t need CTS to win Ironman but I’m sure he would say his coach helped him in his victory.

The word on the street is that Chris is a shitty coach, so probably a good thing. A good businessman though.
do you really believe this?
